The Clemmons United Methodist Church Festival of Tables was a fundraiser for the Clemmons United Methodist Food Pantry.
Briefly, the Festival took place in the Fellowship Hall. There were 15 decorated tables with 8 ladies seated at each table. Dinner was served, the United Methodist Men served as waiters and cleaned up, and door prizes were awarded. Dinner was catered by Sagebrush. Each table was decorated differently from all the rest. The ladies in charge of a particular table set the theme for the table and decorated the table themselves or involved some or all of the ladies who were sitting at their table.
Ana Tampanna, the Alligator Queen, was the speaker for the event. She is a motivational speaker who has spoken all over the United States about inspiring the human spirit to triumph in spite of overwhelming challenges. She is the author of the book entitled "Womanly Art of Alligator Wrestling: Inspirational Stories for Outrageous Women Who Survive by Their Wisdom and Wit." P.S. For those who want to plan ahead, the next Festival of Tables will be April 20, 2007!!
