“We are supporting families and individuals experiencing financial difficulties through a food subsidy program, providing groceries to those in need until their situation has improved.”
Clemmons United Methodist Church is excited to extend its ministries and missions into provision of food relief for the needy in Forsyth County, through the Clemmons United Methodist Church Food Pantry (The Pantry). The Pantry is located at 6000 Meadowbrook Mall, Suite 14, in Clemmons, NC.
We will provide sustenance that is specific to family needs on a regular basis as long as respite is needed. Our focus will be to help families improve their current situation, by providing “daily bread” in order for these families to focus their limited incomes for sustaining purposes other than meals.
Families in need of relief can receive family assistance by having the head of the household complete a simple application procedure. Food will be provided on a serial basis determined by income, family size, and nutritional needs specific to the family.
The Pantry is available for new applicants and disbursement of family food on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The Pantry is open to clients as follows:
Tuesday 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Thursday 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Saturday 9:00am – 11:00am
The Pantry may be closed on or around certain holidays. In cases of inclement weather, the Pantry will close if the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools are closed. The Pantry has a snow code on WXII Channel 12.
Volunteers are always needed to keep this important ministry going. Volunteers can work as little as once a month and are needed for anything from cleaning and housekeeping to picking up donations to shelving and distributing food.
Food and monetary donations are much appreciated and can be tax deductible.
