Children's Ministry

We are pleased you are visiting us here at Clemmons United Methodist Church. We hope that you feel welcome as our guests. If you have children we wanted to let you know a little about our Children’s Ministries. We are dedicated to helping children know and grow in their relationship with God. There are several ways CUMC strives to bring up children in the faith, including: Children's Worship, Sunday School, Faith Xpress,Vacation Bible School and various mission projects throughout the year.  We hope that your children will find a place in some of these ministries.

Nursery/Childcare

During the 8:40 am, 10:55 am and 11:15 am worship services, loving care is available for children, from birth through pre-kindergartners in our Faith Foundations program. A pager system is available for children and their parents during Sunday School and all Worship Services. Our Sunday morning care rooms are located in C102, C103, C104 and C105. Please, stop by the Faith Foundations Greeter table first to sign in your child and receive any needed help from our caring staff and volunteers. Additional information can be found in the Faith Foundations brochure located in the Narthex or at the Greeter table.

There is now a children’s media center located in room C209. Resources are available for children and parents to check out.   We hope that families take advantage of these resources to grow in your faith.  

Sunday School

Sunday School is held from 9:50 am – 10:50 am. Children, ages 3 through 5th grade will be participating in the Live B.I.G. Curriculum that uses inviting stories, role models, sights, and sounds that provide a foundation for Christian living that leads children to experience and mirror God in their everyday lives. 

At Clemmons UMC, we make every effort to provide a safe and secure environment for all children who come through our doors.  Please take time to look over the hot pink Safe Sanctuary guidelines that are available in the church Narthex and at the Faith Foundations sign-in table.  If you have any questions regarding where any of the nursery or Sunday School rooms are located, please consult the facility maps scattered throughout the buildings or ask anyone you meet and they will be happy to help you with directions.  We hope your visit here is meaningful and do not hesitate to contact the church staff with any questions you may have.
